I remember a little case titled “Roe vs Wade” in which it was determined that Roe was entitled to the rights of her body. This right was covered my many amendments, one of which is the fourteen amendment’s privacy rights. Now I’m not condoning abortion but this is just one example where it’s been deemed legal to make a choice when it comes to our own bodies. I understand that there are many hot buttons when it comes to selling a kidney but the most prevalent seems to be that others feel it is an organ that as Americans we should donate. According to some posts, if American kidney selling were legalized then the poor would sell and only the rich would benefit. I’m far from poor but not rich. If needed, I would buy a kidney. Some people pay more for their vehicles than it would cost to buy a kidney. And yes, I would sell mine. It’s mine. That means it my choice of whether I want to give it away or sell it. Or I should say that it ‘should’ be my choice. Who is to judge what kind of person another is for contemplating such. Bottom line….It should be a personal choice. This subject infuriates me.
