The more regulation we get, the worse we do." If this were true, we would maximize freedom by abolishing all regulation: Abolish the legal enforcement of contracts, abolish the regulations that set up corporations, abolish the allocation of radio spectrum, abolish copyright, and abolish the governmental rules about trespassing that permit private ownership of real estate. This move would render us free from the control of government, but subject to the control of thugs, terrorists, and ruffians. The true goal is to maximize freedom by avoiding the poles of dictatorship by government, dictatorship by terrorists, and dictatorship by CEO.
